Prologue

So today is the day before our road trip west, the one we have known about for months and have had weeks to prepare for since school/work ended.  Obvi this means we are not even close to ready to go.  I think the packing strategy is just put things that seem useful for a car trip or camping in my car, and assuming we will at least live. 

This dog does not understand what is happening, but she knows people are leaving, and she is not happy about it.

I guess it’s ok.  It would be better if we weren’t leaving at 5:30 AM, or if we had been asleep several hours ago.  As it stands, we’re going to have like 7 hours of sleep before our long drive tomorrow.  Unfortunately, that is split between both of us.  Basically, at this point, we’re both just kind of wandering around, trying to imagine what else we could possibly need.  Lots, I’m sure.
